In 2002 Krzysztof Kawalec completed Post-Graduate Studies of Goodwill Management at the Warsaw School of Economics. In 2003 he completed Post-Graduate Studies in Corporate Accounting and Controlling at the Warsaw School of Economic. In 2006 Krzysztof Kawalec completed MBA programme in PAM Center, University of Łódź, University of Maryland.

In 1998–2001 Krzysztof Kawalec was Manager in IFFP Sp. z o.o. (International Fast Food Polska Sp. z o.o.) based in Warsaw, and from 2001–2002 Manager for Contracting in Magellan S.A. He was a Member of the Management Board and Finance Director in the Company in the years 2002–2003.

In 2003 he became Vice-President of the Management Board and Director for Operations, and since 1 July 2008 the Company Management Board's President. He is also a member of Supervisory Boards of MEDFinance S.A., Magellan Česká republika s.r.o. and Magellan Central Europe s.r.o. Since 2009 Krzysztof Kawalec has been a member of the Supervisory Board of KRUK S.A. based in Wrocław.
